Xpeng has unveiled the interior of the Mona L03 fastback crossover ahead of its official debut, scheduled for July 2026. The model will become the second vehicle in the company’s mass-market Mona lineup, which is aimed primarily at younger buyers.
According to Xpeng, more than 72% of the cabin surfaces are finished in soft-touch materials. The headliner is upholstered in suede-like fabric, a feature typically reserved for flagship vehicles priced at around 500,000 yuan ($73,500). The panoramic roof features a dual-layer silver coating that blocks more than 99.9% of ultraviolet radiation and over 97% of visible light.
The dashboard is dominated by a floating 15.6-inch touchscreen, while a traditional instrument cluster has been replaced by a 26.8-inch head-up display. Another standout feature is a 4.15-meter ambient light strip that runs throughout the cabin and supports 256 color settings.
The gear selector is mounted behind the two-spoke steering wheel. The center console houses two wireless charging pads, a pair of cupholders, and a concealed storage compartment. Physical buttons have been largely eliminated, although both front occupants benefit from large vanity mirrors equipped with dual-sided soft lighting.
The Mona L03 measures 4,650 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Depending on the version, the crossover rides on either 18-inch or 20-inch wheels, while curb weight ranges from 1,855 to 1,875 kg.
The fully electric variant will be powered by a single 183 kW (245 hp) motor paired with either a 56 kWh or 69 kWh LFP battery pack. Claimed range under the Chinese CLTC testing cycle ranges from 505 km to 650 km.
An extended-range hybrid (EREV) version will use the same electric motor and add a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 70 kW (94 hp) as a generator. The company claims up to 257 km of all-electric driving range for this configuration.
The Mona L03 follows the success of the Mona M03 liftback, the first model in the series, which has become one of Xpeng’s strongest performers in the domestic market. According to China EV DataTracker, Chinese customers took delivery of 272,077 Mona M03s between August 2024 and May 2026. Much of the model’s success has been attributed to its competitive pricing, which ranges from 119,800 to 151,800 yuan ($17,680โ22,410).
