Voyah, the premium brand under Dongfeng, has announced that pre-orders for its new all-electric Passion S crossover will begin on July 24. First unveiled in May, the model is positioned as a direct competitor to the Xiaomi YU7 and features an advanced autonomous driving system built around four LiDAR sensors and Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 platform.
The vehicle adopts a sporty coupe-style crossover design with a low-slung profile. Aerodynamics are enhanced by 10 air ducts, 18 ventilation openings, and active grille shutters. The crossover rides on 21-inch wheels and comes equipped with performance brake calipers and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Dimensions are 5,050 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,656 mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 3,000 mm.
The interior will be offered in three color themes: Cloud Beige, Dawn Orange, and Moon Shadow Black. The cabin features a three-spoke steering wheel and a seamless panoramic display integrating the infotainment system and passenger screen into a single unit.
One of the model’s unique features is the “Voyah Engine” sound mode. By simultaneously pulling both steering-wheel paddle shifters, occupants can activate an artificial supercar engine soundtrack, while the instrument cluster and AR head-up display switch into a dedicated performance-themed interface.
The driver assistance system is based on Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and includes a 896-line LiDAR sensor. The full sensor suite consists of 32 components: four LiDAR units, three front 4D millimeter-wave radars, two rear radars, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 parking sensors. The vehicle also employs three additional direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) LiDAR sensors for blind-spot monitoring, capable of detecting objects as close as 15 centimeters from the body.
According to preliminary specifications, the rear-wheel-drive version will feature a single electric motor producing 300 kW (402 hp). The all-wheel-drive model adds a front motor rated at 175 kW (235 hp), bringing total system output to 475 kW (637 hp). Two battery options will be available, with capacities of 81.6 kWh and 98.1 kWh, delivering a CLTC driving range of up to 630 km and 700 km respectively.
